CSS INK Notary understands that plans can change. This policy is intended to provide flexibility to clients while protecting time reserved for appointments and travel.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Clients are encouraged to cancel or reschedule as soon as possible if they are unable to keep an appointment.

Appointments canceled or rescheduled at least 2 hours before the scheduled appointment time will generally not incur a cancellation fee.

Late Cancellations & No-Shows

If an appointment is canceled with less than 2 hours' notice, or if the client is unavailable when the notary arrives at the confirmed location, a reasonable travel or cancellation fee may apply.

Any applicable fee will take into consideration the appointment location, travel already completed, and expenses incurred.

Mobile Appointments

For mobile appointments, please ensure that all signers are available at the scheduled location and have acceptable identification and the necessary documents.

If the notary has already begun traveling to the appointment, applicable travel expenses may still be due if the appointment is canceled.

Unable to Complete a Notarization

A notarization cannot be completed unless all applicable legal and identification requirements are satisfied.

CSS INK Notary reserves the right to decline a notarization when required by law or when the notary cannot satisfactorily verify identity, willingness, awareness, or other required elements of the notarial act.

If a mobile appointment cannot be completed because the signer does not have acceptable identification, is unavailable, or the document or circumstances do not permit the requested notarization, applicable travel or service fees may still be due.

Apostille & Document Services

Government filing fees, shipping charges, courier expenses, and other third-party costs that have already been incurred may be non-refundable.

Once apostille, authentication, courier, shipping, or other processing services have begun, amounts already spent or services already performed may not be refundable.

Loan Signing Appointments

Cancellation and payment arrangements for loan signing assignments received through title companies, signing services, lenders, attorneys, or other professional organizations may be governed by the terms of that individual assignment.

Refunds

If payment has been made in advance and CSS INK Notary cancels the service before services are performed, amounts paid for services not provided will be refunded as appropriate.

Refund requests involving services already performed or third-party expenses will be reviewed based on the circumstances and applicable costs already incurred.
